In Phoenix Class pupils are supported in a nurturing provision enabling them to thrive in a safe, predictable and non-judgmental environment.
Through using a range of approaches to assess Pupils’ learning; and social and emotional needs we are able to support their progress and development in order to remove the barriers to learning. Pupils benefit hugely from individualised planned lessons tailored to suit their learning style with emphasis on using SEN friendly and engaging resources. Good behavior is encouraged through using highly motivational and achievable reward strategies.
Pupils have many opportunities for social learning especially during our breakfast and snack times where they have time to develop their speaking and listening skills.
As the pupils in Phoenix Class develop their learning both socially and academically, they gain confidence in their personal achievements and take pride in their learning.
