Teacher: Miss Ragon (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) & Miss George (Monday & Thursday)

Miss Ragon and Miss George would like to welcome all the children back to school.  Mrs Ragon is scheduled to be in class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday and Miss George will be teaching on Mondays and Thursdays.  Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday and the children  can come to school wearing their PE kit.
We are excited about our learning planned for this year. We have started our learning journey reading the Stone Age Boy which links nicely with our topic work. In Science we are learning about Rocks and we have linked this to Stone Age art and music which the children are really enjoying.
As you are aware the children are now engaging with our new reading scheme; Accelerated Reader. This will support their love of reading and ensure they are reading the correct level of book as they demonstrate their understanding through regular quizzes.
As a class we are sharing Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine which we read at the end of each day.
Later this term we will have an educational trip to Kent Life which links to our Stone Age learning. The children will have the opportunity of meeting a Tribe Member and find out what it was like to live in Stone Age times, what they ate and what they wore.  We will also have parent consultations which we will notify you of shortly.
