For the academic year 2023-2024 we received a total of £19,020 PE premium funding. We are looking forward to the positive impact this money will have on the children’s health and academic achievement. We were able to use the pool last year and all children in years 2-6 had a swimming session allocated weekly, with children from all areas of SLIC also benefitting. This year we have made further developments on our exciting OPAL journey which will see the playgrounds transformed over the next 18months with many zones to enrich and develop play. We have added a huge sand pit, digging areas, climbing bars and parallel bars, tree climbing, den building, a mud kitchen, refereed football, dressing up, music and loose parts, such as tyres, to play with. We also have a display board in the hall showing our PE journey, teams and their successes, in school competitions and play leaders. This year Mr Hopkins will lead PE.
