Primary PE & Sports Funding

For the academic year 2022-233 we received a total of £18,870 PE premium funding. We are looking forward to the positive impact this money will have on the children’s health and academic achievement. We were able to reopen the pool last year and all children in years 2-6 had a swimming session allocated weekly, with some additional tutoring for some of the year 6 pupils to help them meet national curriculum standards. We are so glad to be using the multi-use games area (Quad) for a range of sports in and out of school, this area was developed during Covid restrictions and is great for team games from football to netball, tennis and more. This year we have started our exciting OPAL journey which will see the playgrounds transformed over the next 18months with many zones to enrich and develop play. For a detailed and interesting report on how the money was spent and the impact it has had please click below. We also have a display board in the hall showing our PE journey, teams and their successes, in school competitions and play leaders. This year Miss Harris will lead PE.
