In Penguin Class, we show respect, koinonia and enjoyment within the classroom. We share our ideas and interest in our peers’ responses so that we can grow together. All pupils are encouraged to try their best and achieve their own goals. As the year progresses we will show resilience, perseverance and a love for learning. This year, our topics will include the Egyptians, Extreme Earth and the Ancient Greeks which will all be connected to a text for our English learning. Through our topics, we will explore the foundation subjects of art, DT, music, geography and history to develop skills in all areas of the curriculum. Through the variety and different ways of learning, pupils will be encouraged to further develop their current skills as well as inspire their curiosity and interest in new concepts. Our aim in Penguin Class is to develop as confident, independent and enthusiastic learners who aspire to achieve goals throughout their learning journey.
