In Flamingo Class all pupils are encouraged to have high expectations of themselves and recognise the importance of a positive mindset for learning. They continue to build their confidence and independence, laying the foundations to move forward successfully and achieve their potential.

Where possible links are made between literacy and topic or science to allow pupils to become fully immersed in their learning. Topics include Changes in our local environment, Europe, The Anglo Saxons, The Vikings and Journeys. During these lessons an emphasis is put on creating learning that provides memorable opportunities that capture pupils’ imagination.

We recognise that we all have our different strengths and qualities that make us unique and work to celebrate these and the contributions that everyone can share to enhance our learning experience.
