Emotional Wellbeing Team (EWT)

The Emotional Wellbeing Team https://www.nelft.nhs.uk/kent-emotional-wellbeing-team/ is part of the NHS in Kent and Medway.  They are a government initiative designed to support children's mental health in school in a variety of ways.

EWT workshops

These are short workshops run on Microsoft Teams on a variety of subjects such as behaviour, autism, ADHD, worries, anxiety and building resilience.  They run on different days and at different times, being repeated each term.  Dates for terms 3 and 4 will be found here once they become available

1:1 support for years 5 and 6

Our Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner (EWP), Lauren, is able to offer 6 sessions of targeted 1:1 support to year 5 and 6 children around areas such as anxiety, poor self-esteem, low confidence, emotional regulation and much more.  This involves myself, Claire Holmes, having a chat with you as the parent, and also your child's class teacher.  I then discuss your child with Lauren who will then decide if she feels she can offer the appropriate support, and if so I will ask you to complete their referral form.  This gets passed to Lauren and she will then call you to discuss the way forward.  Support is offered in school at prearranged times with Lauren.
