Welcome to Starfish Class!

We have lots of exciting learning planned, including fascinating topics such as Forces and Magnets, Stone and Bronze Age, Mountains, Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Making Torches and Cooking, to name just a few.

Our PE days this year will be Monday and Wednesday. Monday is outdoor PE and Wednesday is swimming so please ensure children are dressed as our uniform policy. 

At the start of every term, I’ll share updates on Class Dojo outlining the key topics we’ll be covering in all subjects, along with any important dates to remember, so please keep an eye out for those.

If you have any questions, please message me via Class Dojo first so I can get back to you as soon as possible, or arrange a phone call or meeting if needed.

This year, our homework focus will be on reading and times tables. Spending just a few minutes each day reading with your child – or listening to them read – really helps to develop fluency and vocabulary. Similarly, confidence with times tables is essential for many areas of maths, so regular practice at home makes a huge difference.
