Welcome back, Starfish Class!

We have lots of exciting learning planned, including fascinating topics such as Rivers, Roman Britain, Coasts, and The Americas, to name just a few.

Our PE days this year will be Monday and Tuesday. Please ensure children come to school in their PE kits on those days. We’ll also have swimming lessons during Terms 1, 5, and 6, which will replace one of our regular PE sessions each week – I’ll confirm the exact day closer to the time.

At the start of every term, I’ll share updates on Class Dojo outlining the key topics we’ll be covering in all subjects, along with any important dates to remember, so please keep an eye out for those.

This year, our homework focus will be on reading and times tables. Spending just a few minutes each day reading with your child – or listening to them read – really helps to develop fluency and vocabulary. Similarly, confidence with times tables is essential for many areas of maths, so regular practice at home makes a huge difference.
