"If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water" Loren Eiseley
In term 5, Otter class will be learning all about the magic of water! What can we do with water? What does it feel and taste like? How do we make ice? We will be measuring water capacity and looking at floating and sinking!
So long to our Pirate adventure!
Otter class really enjoyed learning all about pirates, their ships, their journeys and their search for hidden treasure. This fun topic culminated in a great fancy dress party which coincided with Ms Wyatt's birthday!
This term we are heading back to the Jurassic period and learning all about dinosaurs, they have even entered our maths lessons!
Welcome to term 3 and our pirate adventure!
Welcome back Otter class, some of you virtually, some of you in school. It has been lovely seeing you and some of your parents as we settle into a different lockdown term!
This term we will be going on a pirate adventure. We will be exploring what pirates look like, where they come from and finding out all about their ships! We will be doing lots of fun activities, making masks, maps, hats and even pirate food - we might even have a treasure hunt!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
In the Otter class we have been learning all about the hungry caterpillar. We have been practicing our cutting skills, phonics, key words, pencil control and days of the week! We have been learning all about the life cycle of the caterpillar and have even been food tasting and threading and weaving with leaves! Over the next week we will be measuring the caterpillars and creating some fun art work. There is so much to learn from this little caterpillar!
We have also been joining in with our mainstream friends and the KS1 dinosaur topic, we have been dinosaur dancing and are off on a dinosaur walk in the woods today. We really are such busy little Otters, Miss Wyatt is very proud of us!
