Emotional Wellbeing Team (EWT)
The Emotional Wellbeing Team https://www.nelft.nhs.uk/kent-emotional-wellbeing-team/ is part of the NHS in Kent and Medway. They are a government initiative designed to support children's mental health in school in a variety of ways.
EWT parent workshops for terms 3 & 4
There are 2 parent workshops on offer that run weekly over a number of weeks. Please see the parent workshop document below and make contact using the email address supplied to get more information and/or to join.
The first workshop is Supporting your Child with Fears & Worries which focuses on how worries and fears develop, how you can support your child with overcoming their worries and fears, alongside evidence-based strategies to help children.
The second workshop is Understanding your Child's Behaviour which offers strategies to promote positive relationships and support in developing emotional regulation.
EWT OSI - Online Support & Intervention
The EWT's OSI (Online Support & Intervention) 1:1 service offers support for you with your child's anxiety. The online platform is designed to help parents with tools and techniques to help their children overcome anxiety. Please use the details on the flyer to access support.
1:1 Support for Years 5 and 6
Our Emotional Wellbeing Team (EWT) are able to offer 6 sessions of targeted 1:1 support to Year 5 and 6 children around areas such as anxiety, poor self-esteem, low confidence, emotional regulation and much more.
